Το ΕΣΥΝ στην Ευρωπαϊκή Διάσκεψη της Σερβίας
Το ΕΣΥΝ με απόφαση του προέδρου, Αρμόδιου Δρίκου, συμμετείχε στο 11th Central European Initiative Youth Forum που διεξήχθη στη Σερβία. Εκπροσωπήθηκε από τη Δέσποινα Γκουβα.
Το CEI (Central European Initiative) αποτελείται από 18 χώρες μέλη. Είναι το μεγαλύτερο και παλαιότερο φόρουμ περιφερειακής συνεργασίας στην κεντρική, ανατολική και νοτιοανατολική Ευρώπη.
Φέτος διεξήχθη το 11ο CEI Youth Forum, στη πόλη της Σερβίας, Σουμπότικα, κατά τις ημερομηνίες 2-5 Νοεμβρίου 2011. Το φόρουμ έγινε με την υποστήριξη του Υπουργείου Νεολαίας και αθλητισμού της Σερβίας.
Οι χώρες που συμμετείχαν και εκπροσωπούσαν εθνικά συμβούλια και υπουργεία της χώρας τους ήταν: Λευκορωσία, Βοσνία-Ερζεγοβίνη, Βουλγαρία, Κροατία, Τσεχία, Ουγγαρία, Ιταλία, Μακεδονία, Μολδαβία, Μαυροβούνιο, Πολωνία, Ρουμανία, Σερβία, Σλοβακία, Σλοβενία, Ουκρανία και η Ελλάδα. Η Ελλάδα δεν είναι μέλος του CEI, αλλά συμμετείχε ως προσκεκλημένη χώρα από το υπουργείο της Σερβίας.
Το θέμα του 11ου CEI ήταν «Role of information in the youth policy context». Κατά τη διάρκεια του φόρουμ φάνηκε ότι παρουσιάζεται έντονο πρόβλημα σε όλες τις χώρες σχετικά με την πληροφόρηση των νέων. Οι νέοι δεν έχουν άμεση και σωστή πληροφόρηση και το κυριότερο, όταν έχουν πρόσβαση στα μέσα, δεν γνωρίζουν πώς να τα αξιοποιήσουν για την ενημέρωσή τους. Οπότε έμφαση δόθηκε στην εύρεση λύσεων και διατύπωση προτάσεων σχετικά με την αντιμετώπιση του προβλήματος αυτού.
Αναλυτικά οι προτάσεις και τα αποτελέσματα που προέκυψαν από τη Διάσκεψη:
We, the representatives of young people, institutions and civil society organizations of the Central European Initiative Member States, gathered in Subotica during 02-05 November 2011, on the occasion of the11th Youth Forum of the Central European Initiative on the theme of “Role of Information in Youth Policy Context”, within the framework of the Serbian Presidency of the CEI;
Bearing in mind that young people are future bearers of the society and agents of social changes and therefore recognizing special significance of youth policy for the society
Considering youth information as one of main areas for strengthening the position of youth in the society and their further networking, participation, mobility, personal and professional development
Fully aware of the fact that timely and comprehensive youth information is a precondition for the fulfillment of the goals of national/European youth strategies
Underlining the need for cross-sectoral cooperation and active involvement of all relevant stakeholders at national, regional and international level
Having debated upon the topic of this Forum, and bearing in mind the challenges that young people face in coping with an increasing amount of information, we have identified the following needs assessment which has to be satisfied:
1. the need for development of integrated action for enhancement of youth information activities based on cross-sectoral cooperation
2. the need to share experiences in policy-making, developing legislation, drafting implementing and evaluating strategies, to encourage and develop best practices in youth information field at all levels
3. the need to improve actions to foster and strengthen national, regional and European cooperation with the aim of developing an interconnected global community for sharing quality information relevant for young people
4. the need to devise effective processes for jointly and collaboratively promoting and adopting common frameworks and standards, as well as harmonized definitions and methods for the treatment of national youth information data, in order to enhance youth information management at national, regional and European level
5. the need to provide comprehensive and accurate and up-to-date information to young people about possibilities and perspectives at all levels, according to young people’s needs and demands
6. the need to provide evidence based communication about young people and training for all relevant stakeholders
7. the need to provide information in a way that will be youth friendly at local, national and international level
8. the need to encourage and strengthen youth participation in developing the content of youth information, as well as communication channels for its dissemination
9. the need to use innovative ways and forms of communication with and among young people, following constant improvements in this field
10. the need to disseminate information to young people, especially young people with fewer possibilities and non-organized youth, through channels that are most accessible and interesting to them
11. the need to increase the level of digital literacy among youth and include it into formal education and non-formal learning
12. the need to develop quality standards, in particular for online youth information services
13. the need to understand the importance of Internet as a communication tool for young people
14. the need to increase awareness of young people not only on opportunities, but also regarding risks of online communication
15. the need to research and acquire knowledge regarding young people needs on information in the digital era
16. the need to have a higher involvement of media regarding youth issues
17. the need to ensure youth information sustainability in term of human and financial resources
We mutually pledge to work closely in providing the best possible results in the field of youth information, with the aim to support this Declaration and relying on our previous cooperation in youth policy field.
The Declaration has been adopted unanimously.
